Hidden within the mountain forest, Isimlaq is a cenote surrounded by dramatic vertical walls, with a landscape that changes significantly throughout the year.
During the dry season, lower water levels reveal a natural beach and deep moss-green tones. In the rainy season, the water can rise by approximately 10 meters, partially flooding the surrounding forest and turning the cenote a vivid emerald green.
The cenote is fed by a river that forms natural pools, ideal for cooling off. Swimming in the cenote is also possible, but because of its depth, wearing a life jacket is mandatory.
